Lucid Prophecy
The goodbye
echoes behind my eyes,
like a second heartbeat
that I realize
I need
just before it
fades too quickly.
Startled by my
own voice whispering,
half sleeping,
come back to me...
come back to me...
Waking then, in
darkened illusion,
caffeinated confusion.
A room non-existent
with senses so vivid.
Retracing steps
that never took
place in the first place,
to go up stairs
to somewhere
that should lead nowhere,
to find I am outside
of a familiar house
in an unknown time.
And there's so much snow,
falling
in
slow
motion
that the notion
of anything real
is swallowed up
and then I feel
I am
waking again.
Green tinted fusion,
fever-filled conclusion,
that my memories
could really be
complex symbols
meant to unfold
as abstract prophecy,
being preached to me
by a man I know,
but have never seen
until this meeting.
In a hall dim lit,
as his fingers grip
a concave socket
where his eye
used to be,
before it came
to examine me,
collapsing
in
slow
motion
so that the notion
of anything real
is swallowed up
and then I feel
I am
waking again.

armor
We all go thought fire
We all must walk to coals, to cross the wire
The flames will harden our skin to armor
Sit down and cry will remove the pain that is inside of you
Standing of and fighting it will do much more
There is much to do……
Stand now
Fight now
It is time now
You are here,
now take it
Don’t let it slip away
Don’t let it fade away
You know you,
Now bring it
Don’t let it slip away
Don’t let it fade away
We are all weak, you cannot hide it
Know what you are and stand by it
Forge armour, like dragon scales from you
And you will stand again
No other can ever truly stand for you
It will always be

“Why don’t you try asking me what my name is?” He demanded.
“Oi! They make them so feisty now a days.” John commented to one in particular, “Especially the short ones.”
“I thought we were supposed to be meeting someone who belongs to a shipping that the author just found out about.” Cody said, “It can’t be this kid, can it?”

Very nice The lucidity definitely comes across. I love the falling/in/slow/motion bits, and the rhyming scheme. Planned, and yet somewhat random - very dreamlike.
